It felt more like an upgraded Windows Movie Maker. Filmora was okay but it ran choppy and lacked customization. I also tried Hitfilm which I didn't really like and never got far into it. While Lightworks seemed like a good free option, I was still pulling my hair out after a week of following tutorials, and I was disappointed by the lack of audio tools. I was, admittedly, automatically turned off by the monthly lease to use Adobe Premiere, and after a measly 7-day trial, despite all the rave, I wasn't really interested anyway. It has everything you need to make a professional-looking video. Magix will automatically save for you every so often, and you can change this interval. Save your work often and make backups no matter what editor you use. I highly suggest that you go with the Plus or Premium version as the plain version is pretty stripped of some of the best features including the more extensive coloring and audio tools and even some codecs. There are really too many audio features to discuss in a brief review. The Premium version also features a neat soundtrack maker (not sure about Plus). There are also extensive and very effective audio tools available from cleanup to mastering. This program has really great color-grading tools which are more prominent in the Plus and Premium versions. Sometimes one works better for a video than the other. Both have produced pretty impressive results considering I am using them to smooth out video taken while running without a gimbal. For video stabilization, you have two options, ProDAD and Magix's own stabilization. I have minimally used motion tracking which seems to work pretty well if you follow the instructions just right. I have not used and cannot comment on the 360 editing.
There are tons of features in Magix Premium I'd like to review in depth, but to keep this review brief, I've only covered a few off the top of my head. It took me about a week to navigate effortlessly around the program. There is a learning curve, of course, especially if you are coming from strictly consumer-based editing. This program has tons of features, and sometimes they aren't so obvious as they may only appear in submenus. I, personally, find this to be one of the best-priced products for what it offers, and what you get out of it is up to you.

My PC isn't top-of-the-line but it isn't bottom-rung either however, I am pretty heavy on using effects in my videos. You can use proxies and/or pre-render sections and, if necessary, turn off effects and plugins,etc. Magix runs on my PC like a charm, and if I had too many things going on at once, I could still edit smoothly. These ranged from consumer to professional-grade editors. I spent 3 months testing out different editors anywhere from open source, to kinda free, to paid. I recently started hobby filmmaking and wanted to find the best bang for my buck. Admittedly, I came to this from using Windows Movie Maker years ago and more recently dabbling with iMovie which just left me wanting more options and control. I'm not sure why this editor doesn't get more love.
